I was looking through some of my old models created with Blender and found this Basketball and Basket Goal.
So I put the together with the amend tool in Blender, Created a backboard, a pole and a plane for a court
and then put together a little animation. I wanted to make a more realistic animation with soft bodies and collision but that basically locked up my computer. My computer is old, like at least 5 years old, and though it was good then, it is not now, and I need a new computer.
But until then I have other things I can do. For example, I can play with putting textures on things. I can put a texture on the plane and make it look like a court. Maybe make it look like a concrete court or a wooden one. I can also put one on the backboard. I could also make a net for the goal.
Point is, and I have struggled with this for a long time, if what you want to do is not working out, don't just quit, come up with alternate things you can do and when you are able to do that which you originally wanted to do, you'll have more skills under your belt that make your original goal that much better.
